Standing Quadriceps Stretch

Rectus Femoris, Vastus Lateralis, Vastus Medialis, Vastus Intermedius

Description

Stand tall, holding onto a wall or chair for balance if needed. Bend one knee and bring your heel towards your buttock. Grab your foot with the hand on the same side and gently pull.

Progression

Pull heel closer to buttock, hold for longer

Feel sensation

Gentle pulling sensation in the front of the thigh.

Common mistakes

Arching the back, pulling too hard
