Standing Calf Stretch - Soleus (near ankle)

Soleus

Description

Stand facing a wall, arms extended. Place one leg back, slightly bend the knee, and keep heel on the ground. Lean forward gently.

Progression

Increase the bend in the back knee, hold for longer

Feel sensation

Gentle pulling sensation in the lower calf, near the Achilles tendon.

Common mistakes

Lifting the heel, not keeping the knee bent
