Neck Rotation

Sternocleidomastoid, Scalenes, Splenius Capitis, Splenius Cervicis

Description

Sit or stand tall. Slowly rotate your head to one side, as if looking over your shoulder. Hold briefly, then return to center and repeat on the other side.

Progression

Increase the rotation, hold for longer

Feel sensation

Gentle stretching sensation on the sides of the neck.

Common mistakes

Forcing the movement, not keeping the shoulders relaxed
