Neck Extension

Splenius Capitis, Splenius Cervicis, Suboccipitals

Description

Sit or stand tall. Slowly tilt your head back, looking up towards the ceiling. Hold briefly, then return to center.

Progression

Increase the tilt, hold for longer, add gentle overpressure with hands

Feel sensation

Gentle stretching sensation at the front of the neck, gentle compression at the back.

Forcing the movement, compressing the neck
