Lying Hamstring Stretch with Strap

Biceps femoris, Semitendinosus, Semimembranosus

Description

Lie on your back with one leg extended up. Loop a strap or towel around the foot of the raised leg. Gently pull the leg towards you, keeping it straight.

Progression

Increase the pull, hold for longer

Feel sensation

Gentle pulling sensation in the back of the thigh.

Common mistakes

Bending the knee of the raised leg, lifting hips off the floor
