Levator Scapulae Stretch

Levator Scapulae

Description

Sit or stand tall. Turn your head 45 degrees to one side. Gently tuck your chin towards your chest. You can use your hand to gently add pressure.

Progression

Increase the rotation and chin tuck, hold for longer

Feel sensation

Gentle pulling sensation on the back and side of the neck.

Common mistakes

Shrugging the shoulder, forcing the stretch
